Urgent Maintenance for VPS2 - Reverted

Posted in Service Status by Jon on 15/04/2014 @ 08:27

We have recently discovered a bug on Xen node VPS2 which is preventing us from creating/rebuilding any VPS's with templates other than Windows 2012.

We believe we have found the root of the cause but in order to resolve we need to make a few kernel & package changes which will require a reboot of the node in question.

Window details are as follows:

Start: 23:00 BST (GMT+1) on 15/04/14 (TODAY!)
Finish: 23:45 BST (GMT+1) on 15/04/14 (TODAY!)
Impact: All clients on affected note will experience intermittent disruption during the above window as we implement a number of system changes

Please accept our apologies for the short notice but we have deemed the issue of a severity that warrants an urgent window.

Unfortunately we're having a few issues rolling out some crucial updates which is delaying the successful completion of this window.  We're working hard to get the issue resolved ASAP and a further update will be posted shortly.

Unfortunately the work carried out in this window has to be reverted as things took far longer than we anticipated - a new window will be planned in due course.

We believe all VPS's should already be back online, if your VPS is non-responsive then please reboot via your VPSCP.  If that does not help then please open a support ticket accordingly.
