KSP Network Maintenance 25/09/14

Posted in Service Status by Jon on 17/09/2014 @ 10:04

We have received notification from our primary upstream that provides connectivity to our KSP POP that they intend to upgrade JunOS on one of the routers that our redundant ring terminates on.

Impact to clients is expected to be minimal if noticeable at all as the route on the affected router (THE) will be shut-down gracefully resulting in all traffic coming over our THN link for a short while.

Window details are as follows:

Start: 25/09/14 @ 22:00 BST
End: 25/09/14 @ 23:00 BST
Affected: KSP POP
Impact: 2x network flaps resulting in re-convergence and a lack of resilience to our primary upstream (we will still have a link to primary and secondary upstreams at secondary location)

Due to the minimal impact anticipated from this window, we do not recommend clients take any avoiding action as we do not believe it to be necessary.
